ATENTIV, LLC, pioneers in digital therapies for attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other cognitive disorders, announced the publication of a recently completed brain imaging study using ATENTIVmynd ™ Technological platform. The study demonstrated the physical evidence that the brain can be "rewired" or "re-normalized" in children with attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) who have been given digital psychiatric therapy. This rewiring was associated with an improvement in symptoms of attention consistent with the cumulative evidence of 7 previous clinical studies.
The study, entitled " Brain-computer interface intervention rehabilitates the topology of the functional brain network in children with attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder ", is available online in the peer-reviewed journal Translational Psychiatry published by Nature . The study was funded by the National Medical Research Council of Singapore. The intervention was jointly developed by the Institute for Infocomm Research, a research institute run by the Singapore Science, Technology and Research Agency and ATENTIV, LLC, a digital psychiatric therapeutic society, who developed the intervention in a platform of ATENTIVmynd ™ Games.

The group that received the intervention had statistically significant positive results compared to the untreated group. They had reduced local processing (increased efficiency) within the salient / ventral attention network (SVN) (brain areas involved in the detection of the importance of information). The reduced local processing in SVN was correlated with fewer inattentive symptoms (r = 0.39, p = 0.038).
