AUSTRALIANS are urged to check the brand of their air conditioners after two particular outdoor units have been recalled for fear that they might catch fire.
The call at national level concerns Seeley International Braemar SCHF21C3S and Braemar SCHF25C3S outdoor air conditioning units sold between 14 October 2016 and 28 March ; year
The Australian Competition and Consumption Commission states that the units are faulty and could trigger a fire.

Residents were told that they would put their lives and that of their loved ones at risk if they continued to use the recalled models.
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the affected air conditioners and contact Seeley International on 08 8328 3844 to arrange a technician to replace the defective capacitors.
